Cancellation Policy

  • Email us if you need to cancel. If 60 days or more, let us know which option you prefer.
  • Credits and refunds do not include registration fees which are charged by RunReg registration company.
  • Race credits are good until the end of the following calendar year.
  • Refunds are available in the case of a death in the family, military duty, or significant financial hardship such as a lost job or major medical expense.
  • Refunds are available on merchandise that has not already been ordered.
  • If you take a credit/cash refund or don’t show up at the race, you forfeit your right to the free stuff (swag). We give remaining swag to late registrants who did not get it or to volunteers.
  • If you purchased race insurance (e.g., Allianz Registration Protection via RunReg), contact them to inquire about possible reimbursement.

60 days out or more: 100% cash back with $10 per person administrative fee OR 100% credit (let us know what option you prefer)

30-60 days out: 50% cash back OR 85% credit

15-30 days out: 25% cash back OR 70% credit

6-14 days out: 50% credit (ends Sunday at midnight of race week)

Week of race: no credit except for special circumstances

Transferring your entry, changing your start time, etc.
If you created an account. Find the link in your email confirmation or sign in to your registration (if you registered last year under our old Snap system, contact us). Click on Edit/Transfer to the right of My Upcoming Events. Select a new start time if available or make other edits. For transfers, enter in the email address of the person receiving the transfer and click the button again. Once the email has been sent, the person receiving the transfer will need to go through the checkout process to receive the transferred registration, even though there is no charge. Once the transfer is successful the original participant will receive a confirmation email. Detailed transfer instructions.

If you did not created an account. Go to the registration page and click “Contact Event” under the event name. Click on the Trying to Edit or Transfer Your Entry green box. On the next page, enter the email address that was used to register. An email will be sent to that address with a link to the page where edits and transfers can be made.

After the online transfer window has closed. We would much prefer to handle transfers online, before the online transfer window closes, usually midnight Wednesday. Here’s the manual form on how to transfer your registration to another racer AFTER the online transfer window closes. Please do this asap before the race and email back to us using the contact us link.

Event Cancellation Policy
Race organizers reserve the right to cancel the event in the case of extended severe weather, health emergency or any other emergency. We will do everything possible to get the event in, but refunds are not available if it is cancelled due to significant costs we must pay in advance of the race (e.g., insurance, permits, vendor deposits, advertising, graphic design, etc.) along with hundreds of hours of planning. If possible, we will reschedule rather than cancel the race. If it is cancelled or you cannot attend on the rescheduled date, we will provide a 100% credit that can be used for Dirty Duel OR Hurt the Dirt anytime in the following two years, ending on Dec. 31 of the second year.

In the event of a thunderstorm or other severe weather, we will postpone the race until conditions improve. Extended severe weather may result in cancellation of the event with no refunds. We cannot delay the race for a long time due to agreements with police and ambulance and out of respect for volunteers (but we’ll offer a small partial credit for a future race because we want you back!).
